Remarks for the Time Period
     0305 hrs.   T  T  37.2  The just snow started.
0400 hrs.   0.2  0.03  34.1  The temperature has fallen 3.1°F and surfaces are starting to turn white.
0500 hrs.   0.8  0.12  31.7  The street road is still black but the drive now has slush on it and the temperature is now below the freezing mark. Snow crystals show light riming many are broken and irregular and some snow pellets have fallen in the past hour as seen on the sky mirror.
0600 hrs.   0.8  0.15  30.7  The snow has turned into snow grains and sleet and the weight of the ice has packed the snow. I was surprised the measurement hadn't changed from the past hour. The falling temperature is significant because the water on the streets will freeze if the temperature falls to around 28°F. The driveway slush is starting to show whiteness.
0700 hrs.   1.0  0.21  30.6  The snow grains—(Also called granular snow.) or precipitation in the form of very small, white opaque particles of ice; the solid equivalent of drizzle was mixed with sleet this past hour. The street now has patches of slush and the driveway is starting to turn white.
0800 hrs.   1.0  0.25  30.6  This past hour the sleet has turned to a freezing drizzle with the maximum snowfall will be 1.0 inches. Glaze is not counted as snowfall and now the temperature will be important as to how long it stays below freezing.
0900 hrs.   0.9  0.27  31.0  The freezing drizzle has turned into a light freezing rain in the last 10 minutes of the past hour. The weight of the ice on the snow has compacted the snow to 0.9 inches.
1000 hrs.   0.9  0.30  31.4  Only freezing drizzle and an occasional freezing light rain.
1100 hrs.   0.8  0.33  31.7  Continued freezing drizzle and an occasional freezing light rain. Glaze still to thin to measure.
1200 hrs.   0.7  0.36  32.4  The end of the observations as the temperature is now above freezing and light rain continues.
