 The Richmond International Airport had a maximum  temperature today of 58 °F making it the coolest October 2 since 1958 when the maximum was 55 °F.



October 4, 2011 -- Cool Night 
 
The minimum temperature this morning at West Henrico Co. - Glen Allen was 45.2 °F the lowest  minimum temperature  since May 6, 2011 when the minimum temperature was 43 °F. 



October 12th-13th, 2011 -- Wet Period 
 
The two day storm total was 1.52 inches.
 The total rainfall on the 12th was 1.06 inches with the maximum rainfall intensity of 0.35 inches in one hour and 0.07 inches in five minutes.
 
The total rainfall on the 13th was 0.46 inches with 0.20 inches falling in only 5 minutes during a thunderstorm. 



October 23, 2011 -- Chilly Night 
The minimum temperature last night  was 40.1 °F the lowest  minimum temperature  since May 5, 2011 when the minimum temperature was 39 °F.



October 29, 2011 -- Cold Raw Day
 
The Richmond International Airport maximum  temperature today was only 45 °F which was a new 115 year record low maximum.
 
The previous record was 46 °F set in 1925.  


 
October 30, 2011 -- First Killing Frost
 
The minimum temperature last night  was 29.1 °F the lowest  minimum temperature  since March 29, 2011 when the minimum temperature was 28 °F.
         
The Richmond International Airport minimum  temperature was only 33 °F.  The Airport's record low minimum for the date is 23 °F set in 1965.
