Remarks for the Time Period
     1710 hrs.   0.0  T  41.9  The first light rain started at 1710.
1810 hrs.   0.0  T  37.0  Only a light rain so far and not yet 0.01 inches rain.
1910 hrs.   T  0.02  34.1  Snow started during this past hour and is nearly enough to measure but is still rated as a trace.
2000 hrs.   0.5  0.06  32.9  Some of the snow is melting as it falls as the temperature is still above freezing so the snow is accumulating more slowly. Small individual crystals of dendrites in the snow of this past hour.
2100 hrs.   0.9  0.10  32.4  Snow is still melting as it falls on our street but is beginning to stick to the driveway. Snowfall rate was nearly moderate this past hour.
2200 hrs.   1.2  0.12  32.1  Snowfall is becoming lighter in intensity now and the back edge of the snow is in Louisa Co.
2300 hrs.   1.2  0.12  32.1  Very light snow this past hour
2400 hrs.   1.4  0.17  31.9  Mainly light snow this past hour. At midnight the snow total was 1.4 inches and after melting the snow in the 3 gauges the liquid amount was 0.17 inches. The tripping bucket is heated and it always causes some evaporation and in this case 0.03 inches. Looking at the radar it doesn't look like much additional snow so this is the last observation tonight.
